In the podcast, I was talking about the area of Petra, the King’s Highway, and the Mountain where the Bedouin say is the entrance to hell. To fill in the blanks, I was talking about the real King’s Highway of today, coming north from the Gulf of Aqaba, to Wadi Rum, then to Mount Paran, turning west onto the King’s Highway, past Mount Hor, past the Valley running into Petra, where Aaron was buried, known as “the valley of the shadow of death” in Psalm 23, then to the area of the main entrance to Petra and then on to Esau’s once-capital of Sela.
“Sela” in Hebrew, “Petra” in Greek, the same area once called Utz, where Job lived. Many things about this story deal with prophetic events to do with our day – as in Revelation 12:12-17, and Revelation 6:12-17.
This Transcript contains maps, pictures of Sela today, and satellite pictures of the Lisan Peninsula – the “wings of the great eagle.”
What does all that have to do with back then in the days of Ya’cob? It actually has everything to do with what’s going on today … even with the descendants of Esau/Edom in Rome.
It has to do with our future. It has to do with what the World Bank has put millions of dollars into to fulfilling two prophecies, 1) Revelation 12:15-16, and 2) Ezekiel 47:8-12.
Amazing! Powerful story for today of reconciliation.
