Greetings:
New Moon report for Sh’vat.
Here is what Devorah Gordon in Jerusalem wrote, “Deborah’s Date Tree,” about the sighting of the new moon tonight January 3rd: “At the time of this writing, we are not aware of anyone successfully sighting the new moon with their naked eye from Israel this evening, 3 January 2022. As this was the end of the 29th day of the month, that means that tomorrow evening will be the beginning of the new month by default.” Thank you Devorah!
At sunset tonight, January 3rd, we begin the 30th day of Tevet on the Creator’s calendar. (Genesis 1) Therefore, at sunset tomorrow night, January 4th, we begin the month of Sh’vat. Time is racing right along!
Psalm 83:1-4: “Blow the Shofar for the new moon tomorrow night! Shout for joy to Elohim our strength; Raise a shout to the Elohim of Ya‛aqoḇ. 2Lift up a song and beat the tambourine, The pleasant lyre and with the harp. 3Blow the ram’s horn at the time of the New Moon, and at the full moon on our festival day. 4For this is a law for Yisra’ĕl, and a right-ruling of the Elohim of Jacob.”
A little humor: We need to smile, need to laugh! It’s sure better than being down.
Here in North East Texas, we all voted to skip winter and early spring and jump into summer. So, on Christmas Day it was 90 degrees F. Yip, following two weeks of temperatures in the high 80s. While people were moaning over the deep snows in states around us, we all agreed to keep it summer, or early Fall at least. However, something went wrong. Evidently the federal government intervened. On New Year’s night the temperature drooped-dropped to 9 degrees F with the wind chill factor. Oh well, we tried. Last February was so devastating. I love mid-late Spring, Summer, and early Fall!
Whatever happened? Well, we were warned by “Mike from around the word” on Paul Begley’s program last Thursday. Extreme weather changes are going to become a norm. OOOOH how awful! Our earth is wobbling, shaking, quaking, splitting apart, out of normal orbit, and suffering under the sin or man and the arrival of the Beast. It’s crying out for its Creator to come, and so are we! (Isaiah 24 and Revelation 22)
Now, here in Texas, while the daytime temperatures seem to be climbing into the 50s, our nights are down around freezing or below. At least we have blue skies, sunshine, and people out and about, grocery stores full of good food, and someone from the property management where I live is coming to cover my outside faucets to keep them from freezing. Life goes on!
Blessings to you and shalom, Yedidah – January 3, 2022
