Shabbat Shalom!
“But If It Dies” is #88.0 under the mikvah of Set-Apartness, or under Recent Articles on the main page.
I did not intend to write this, but as I listened to my son speak tonight on a conference call/Prayer Call for the Prayer Center, about Passover, First Fruits and the week of Unleavened Bread — a marvelous message — I thought of the words of Messiah to do with the week of Unleavened Bread in John 12.
Beginning in the second week of March, I bought herb plants and cherry tomato plants, and now am potting them for growing on my back porch. I began also to mow my front yard with my new blade push-mower. Last week, my son got the front and back yard professionally mowed, edged, and the trees in the backyard trimmed. He even had a weed-eater, an electric saw, and a blower for the left-over leaves.
Yesterday, the wind died down some, and I spent over 2 hours picking up all the twigs, branches, and trash out of the front yard that was the result of our very high winds for several days. So, today, I was able to begin mowing and completed the planting of the herbs and tomato plants. It is the season of new life.
Messiah used agriculture for many of His parables, such as in Mark 4, and Matthew 13, and John 12.
After listening to my son tonight, I opened the computer and wrote this short exhortation from John 12:24. It speaks of our freedom and our life, and our eternal life. What a comparison He gives of what He did to plant, water, grow, and harvest. Now this is our life as we follow Him.
Be blessed! Yedidah
